Bretonnians

Also known as Bertrand the Bastion and The Bastion of Bec. First son of the Duke of Brionne, he came to Bec to prove himself as a Knight. He showed his mettle early by winning the original Errantry Tournament. Later on he sucessfully defended the Watchtower at Auberge from a large Skaven attack with only a handful of Men at Arms to aid him. He slew many of the foul ratmen, and held his ground despite being completely surrounded and knocked down repeatedly. This feat of arms allowed the province to be warned of the massive size of the impeding Skaven invasion, and it is the event which earned him the tower blazon that he still wears proudly today. At the Battle of Solly’s Farm he charged alone into the mouth of the Skaven advance, slaying the enemy Warlock General and single-handedly holding off a unit of Plague Censer Bearers. Since that day, none have disputed his incredible prowess as a Knight nor his right to lead the army of Bec as its general. Sir Alain of Joinville has giften him with the Silver Lance of the Blessed once carried by Sir Hugh, and he wears the Cuirass of Fortune which is said to have once belonged to the legendary Sir Alfred of Worchestershire. Bertrand has been the most vocal supporter of Lady Christine de Garoux, and it is rumored that the two have a great deal of personal affection for one another.
